Bell Labs Wave Machine: Reflection

Pulses are created on the Bell Labs apparatus and reflections from the opposite end are observed. Initially, the ends of the apparatus are left open and the reflections have positive polarity. When one end is fixed, reflections have negative polarity.

hi,

Is this pulse similar to a wave packet??? like for example when we talk about electrons we take group velocity using the E-k relation ship in a semiconductor and then we could use classical approach for transport using that velocity.
