How many businesses have you started, guy in the video?
I love that entrepreneurship is so exclusive at MIT. Because I obviously have the money for a plane ticket and 400 dollars to attend this conference. You get to travel to South Africa to learn all about entrepreneurship!… fantastic! because you obviously have the capital to start your own venture. Seriously? You know what percentage of entrepreneurs pay big bucks for this sort of fancy schmancy conference? about 1%. You know how many big time entrepreneurs even humored these sorts of things? maybe .005%. Stop listening to how to do it; have some balls and do it. Here are a few who didn’t need conferences: Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Milton Hershey (4th grade education), Debbi Fields (Mrs. Fields cookies), Walt Disney, Michael Dell, Frank Lloyd Wright (never went to high school).
On another note… you know how many small time entrepreneurs have the money for conferences like this? about .005%. But you can start a small business without any of this shit. Small and huge entrepreneurs… they don’t spend time at conferences learning from people who’ve never started businesses. They get out and make their dreams happen. Stop learning; start doing. It’s way easier than you think.
