On January 7, 2011, the MIT Museum opened the new Thomas Peterson ’57 Gallery with a fascinating exhibit highlighting 150 years of the rich history of MIT. Called The MIT150 Exhibition, the ongoing exhibit showcases 150 objects, presenting a window into MIT's history of invention and innovation. This short video includes highlights from the opening that include MIT President Susan Hockfield, Professor David Mindell, Chair of the MIT150 Steering Committee, and John Durant, MIT Museum Director, who addressed the nearly 800 guests who attended the reception.
