The McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT is led by a team of world-renowned neuroscientists committed to understanding how the brain works and discovering new ways to prevent or treat brain disorders. McGovern '59 and Lore Harp McGovern, whose pledge of $350 million to create the Institute remains one of the largest philanthropic gifts in the history of higher education.
