Transborder Disturbances: Aesthetics, Interventions and Technology
Ricardo Dominguez, artist, activist and Associate Professor of Visual Arts, UCSD

Ricardo Dominguez is co-founder of The Electronic Disturbance Theater (EDT), a group who developed virtual-sit-in technologies in 1998. His collaborative project, the Transborder Immigrant Tool – a GPS cell phone safety tool for crossing the Mexico/U.S border – is being exhibited at the 2010–11 California Biennial at the Orange County Museum of Art, the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art (La Jolla), and Un marco modular at Centro Cultural De España, El Salvador (2010). Dominguez teaches in the Visual Arts Department at UCSD, where he runs the b.a.n.g. lab.Comments (0)
